Our Commitment
Our public accommodations program includes a commitment to provide access to programs, services, and public meetings without discrimination in accordance with:
- Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, or national origin (including language) in any program or activity that receives Federal funds or other Federal assistance.
- Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which prohibits discrimination based on disability.
- Title IX of the Educations Amendments Act of 1972, which prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities.
- Age Discrimination Act of 1975, which prohibits discrimination based on age.
- S. Department of Homeland Security regulation 6 C.F.R. Part 19, which prohibits discrimination based on religion in social service programs.
Oregon Civil Rights Laws and local codes, including but not limited to, as applicable:
- Oregon Revised Statute (“ORS”) 659A et. seq., which prohibit discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, marital status, familial status, veteran status, military status, age (18 or older), and/or disability; and
- Portland City Code (“P.C.C.”) 23.01.070, which prohibits discrimination in places of public accommodation based on race, religion, color, sex, national origin, marital status, age (18 or older).
