Jasmine joined the Flood Safety District in the fall of 2019. As the Human Resources Coordinator, she manages the recruitment and onboarding processes as well as the staff training programs. She previously served as the Policy & Administration Assistant where she wore many hats at the district. Prior to working at the District, Jasmine served as the Human Resources Intern at the Port of Portland, where she spent time supporting the HR team and assisting the Social Equity Manager. During her time there, she developed a passion for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work, which she hopes will increase understanding and awareness surrounding diverse and equitable outcomes at the Flood Safety. Jasmine obtained her bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Portland State University. She hopes that a background in Human Resources will help in building a foundation in her desire to support equity and inclusion work. In her free time, Jasmine enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and the occasional Netflix binge. She is a self-described “foodie” and loves to experiment with new recipes and is always scoping out new restaurants across the city.
